The institute

Born in a software company. Built for builders.

Godan Institute of Technology is the training school of Godan Softwares — created because the fastest way to grow Ghana's software industry is to train the next generation of developers the way real teams work. Our mission is simple: graduate developers who can build, ship and maintain real software from their first job.

Our mission

“To train the next generation of Ghanaian software developers — real projects first, fundamentals always, and craftsmanship above everything.”

For over nine years Godan Softwares has designed, built and grown software for more than 130 clients. The institute turns that experience into structured, practical teaching — small cohorts, real codebases, and working software shipped from week one.

Why train with us

Three things we refuse to compromise

Taught by engineers who ship

Every module is taught by a practising engineer who wrote production code that same week. No career lecturers, no secondhand technique.

Code from day one

You write, commit and deploy real code from your first week — and leave with a portfolio of working projects, not just a certificate.

Built for the real market

Curricula follow how software is actually built for clients in Ghana and beyond — version control, code review, deadlines and deployment included.

Standards & assessment

Held to a professional standard

Our curricula are built and reviewed by the engineering team at Godan Softwares against the way software is professionally developed today — the tools, workflows and standards used on real client projects. Course content is revisited every intake so what you learn is what the industry is actually using.

Every graduate is assessed on working projects, written assessment and a practical review of their code before a certificate is issued.

  • Engineer-reviewed curricula

Course content is reviewed each intake by engineers building software for real clients.

  • Project portfolio

A verifiable body of working projects built and deployed during your training.

  • Code-review assessment

No certificate is issued without your projects passing a practical code review.

A note from our founder

“We started Godan Softwares to build great software for our clients. We started the institute because the surest way to grow this industry is to train the people in it — properly, patiently, and on real projects, not slides.”

Where you learn

A working software company is your classroom

The institute sits alongside Godan Softwares in Accra — you learn with the same tools, workflows and standards our engineers use on client work every day.

Code lab

A dedicated workspace with reliable power and internet for hands-on coding sessions, pairing and project work.

Project studio

Where cohorts build their portfolio projects — version control, code review and deployments, run like a real team.

Seminar lounge

A calm space for theory, demos and project presentations — with coffee that takes itself seriously.

Come and see the campus for yourself.
